Shri Sachchidanand Yadav, Executive Director GAIL (India) Ltd. is presently spearheading GAIL’s foray into the new and alternative energy sector by harnessing the bio gas potential of the country. GAIL is venturing into the Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) business and Sh. Yadav has been given the responsibility of creating this new business vertical from scratch.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate from prestigious MNNIT Allahabad, Sh. Yadav, prior to the present assignment, was on deputation from GAIL to Talcher Fertilizers Ltd. (TFL) wherein he functioned as the first MD of the company. TFL is building India’s first of its kind coal gasification based urea plant in Odisha which is one of the
most important project in coal gasification sector in the country.

In a career spanning nearly 35 years, Sh. Yadav has been entrusted with various important assignments by GAIL. Notably, he was in-charge of the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Pipeline Project– a flagship scheme of Indian Govt. due to which the eastern region of India was connected with national gas grid. He has also been entrusted with similar such projects in past like BNPL, JLPL, CJPL etc. and has been directly responsible for laying of more than 1500 km of gas pipelines across India. He also has extensive experience of operations & maintenance of one of the largest NG pipeline systems viz. HVJ of total grid length of nearly 5,000 km.

He has extensive experience in project planning & implementation, construction & commissioning and O&M of process plants and pipelines. His areas of expertise include project management, rotary equipment, gas turbines & compressors etc
