Vivek is one of the few professionals who has had hands on experience of seeing the CBG sector from different stakeholders perspective – as an EPC, as a Developer, as an equipment supplier and as policy influencer in one of the fastest growing CBG markets.

Of the 33 years of professional experience, Vivek has spent over 25 years in the renewable energy and Energy Efficiency space. He started the CBG business at Thermax  Ltd. in 2019. As a leading EPC  he was responsible for some of the first large corporates entering the sector in India – investment of Green Growth fund and of Total Energies in India being some of them.  After gaining experience as an EPC in Biogas space , he moved to be the founder business head for CBG business at Reliance. Reliance committed over Rs 6000 crores ( `600mn Euro) in the sector while he was the Business Head, leading to immense interest in the sector and multiple learnings from one of the largest Investments in the sector in 2023-24.

After gaining substantial experience in the CBG space as an EPC and as a Developer and realising the technology gap that existed for the success of the sector, he decided to bridge the crucial gap . Mixing solutions, being the pacemaker of the heart of the Biogas plant, is the most crucial piece of equipment.  He now brings the 70-year-old legacy of the SUMA Ruhr Technik GmbH into India.

Vivek has been on the panel of multiple committees for Energy and Environment for the past two decades, shaping the sustainable landscape through policy interventions and influencing.  He has held the Co Chair for CII National Committee on Biogas for 3 years helping shape the CBG policies at both Centre and state levels in past few years.
