Sunil Singhal is an IIT Kanpur chemical engineer and entrepreneur with over five decades of experience across the sugar, refinery, distillery and bioenergy sectors. A pioneer in process innovation, energy efficiency and sustainable engineering, he has played a key role in advancing India’s bioenergy sector, including the development of indigenous biomass pre-treatment technology for CBG projects. His work spans more than 70 sugar refineries worldwide, major sustainability innovations and leadership roles with CII’s bioenergy and advanced biofuels committees.
