Policy Lead, Future Biogas

Dr. Nick Primmer is Policy Lead at Future Biogas, where he drives policy engagement to support the development of bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS). He chairs the Sustainable Bioenergy Crop working group and plays key roles in the REA’s Green Gas Forum and the Biomass Innovation Programme, helping shape the future of green gas in the UK.

Previously, Nick was Lead Analyst at the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA), where he authored influential reports on biomethane, transport, and methane reduction. With a strong academic background and a passion for the intersection of human and natural systems, he works to advance evidence-based, sustainable energy policy.
