AD and Biogas Industry Awards 2026 finalists announced

The finalists for the AD and Biogas Industry Awards 2026 have been announced.

Run by the World Biogas Association (WBA) and the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA), the Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the global anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas sector across 10 categories.

The winners will be announced at a prestigious gala ceremony on 8 July at the Vox, in Birmingham, UK, with Miles Jupp as the host for the night.

The ceremony will conclude Day 1 of the World Biogas Summit and Expo taking place at the nearby NEC on 8-9 July, also organised by WBA and ADBA.

Congratulations to all the shortlisted entries and good luck to them all for the final!

Notes to editors:

  • Launched at COP22 in Marrakesh in 2016, the World Biogas Association (WBA) is the global trade association for the biogas, landfill gas and anaerobic digestion (AD) sectors. WBA is dedicated to facilitating the recycling of all organic wastes, crop residues, and covering crops through biogas technologies such as AD. The global adoption of these technologies offers a multifaceted opportunity to produce clean and renewable energy, bioCO₂, and natural fertilisers while addressing global development, public health, and economic growth issues. WBA’s mission is to accelerate global bioenergy and biogas development, contributing to climate goals — particularly by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 11% and creating up to 15 million new jobs globally. www.worldbiogasassociation.org
  • The Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) is the trade association for the UK anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas industry. ADBA’s vision is to see the full potential of the UK AD industry realised so it can help the UK achieve its emissions targets and other policy goals, creating a truly circular economy. www.adbioresources.org
  • Bringing together leading voices in anaerobic digestion (AD) and sustainable energy, the World Biogas Expo is the only event solely dedicated to the AD and biogas industry, offering a comprehensive exploration of key industry topics and trends, ranging from net zero objectives and finance to regulatory standards, plant performance optimisation and emissions abatement, whilst exhibitors from around the world showcase their products and services and latest innovations.  A must-attend for anyone interested in this game-changing technology from the renewables sector. www.biogastradeshow.com
