Ms Jigisha Jaiswal

Program Lead, Centre for Water and Sanitation (CWAS)

Ms. Jaiswal is a civil engineer and urban planner with almost a decade of experience in urban planning and development, infrastructure planning, sector and municipal finance and sector monitoring systems. 

She currently serves as a Program Lead at the Center for Water and Sanitation (CWAS) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, India. In this role, she leads large scale research grants and advisory projects, partnering with national, state, and local governments, development partners, private sector actors, and academic institutions. She is also a National Master Trainer under Knowledge Management Unit of Swachh Bharat Mission supported by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and NIUA.   

Her work focuses on policy design, advocacy, program development, knowledge management and undertaking action research on various thematic areas. She coordinates the capacity building and training programs for institutions including state and local governments, sector development partners, training institutions, private sector, international and national NGOs and academic organizations.  

She manages the multi-stakeholder projects funded by key partners such as the Gates Foundation, ADBI, Viega Foundation, Global Methane Hub, Arghyam and various state and municipal corporations. She is an invited speaker as a sector expert at regional policy dialogues organized by UNESCAP. Her work focuses on key thematic areas in the water and sanitation sector spanning sector improvements, monitoring, governance, and finance; municipal and public finance; climate-resilient infrastructure; technology- driven innovation; equity and gender inclusion; and institutional capacity building.
