Laying a Pathway to Achieve Social Justice and Carbon Neutrality

 

“Africa Energy Forum: Investment & Impact – Out of Response and Into Recovery” was a free-to-attend series of digital broadcasts and networking with industry leaders on 30th June to 3rd July.

Alex Marshall, Group Marketing and Compliance Director at Clarke Energy, is a WBA member. He spoke at the AEF panel on “Laying a Pathway to Achieve Social Justice and Carbon Neutrality.”

The panel discussed how major corporations which influence economic performance are changing their utility structures to meet the growing desire to be carbon neutral through energy diversification and play a greater role in their communities. The sub-topics included:

  • What factors are influencing decision making in energy intensive industries
  • How industry is positioning itself to meet the demands of the future
  • The circular economy – one person’s waste is another person’s treasure
  • Building resilience and responsibility in supply chains – creating environment for social justice
