Biogas news in a nutshell

European demand for biomethane to replace Russian gas is driving a rapid scale-up on the continent, notably in Italy and Spain, with Ukrainian gas coming on-line too. Meanwhile demand also growing on the transport side, for maritime shipping and SAF production, while Volvo report 25% growth in demand for gas trucks. A poll of US voters overwhelmingly backs funding for biogas. Finally, growth in the Brazil and India markets continues to accelerate.

TotalEnergies has signed a sale and purchase agreement with HitecVision, a Norwegian investment company specialising in energy, for the sale of 50% of Polska Grupa Biogazowa for US$212 million. Find out more.
