Technical Webinar: EU Taxonomy and Biogas

The European Union’s ‘Climate Change Taxonomy’ was formally adopted on 21st April, 2021. The pioneering taxonomy is a government classification system, establishing a list of environmentally friendly activities to boost sustainable investments. In that sense it sets a global benchmark for economic activity. The World Biogas Association and our network of experts examined in-depth the taxonomy and revealed what it means for the biogas sector.

WBA invited the industry to come together on 29th April, 2021 to watch presentations, discuss questions and network with each other via video-link.

Moderator: Tasneem Mayet, Head of Policy, World Biogas Association

Guest Speakers:

Isobel Edwards, Investment Analyst Green Bonds at NN Investment Partners

Marco Giacomazzi, Policy Officer, European Biogas Association

Janek Vähk, Climate, Energy and Air Pollution Programme Coordinator, Zero Waste Europe
