Technical Webinar: EU Taxonomy and Biogas

9h30 to 10h30 BST (10h30 to 11h30 CET), 29th April, 2021

The European Union’s ‘Climate Change Taxonomy’ was formally adopted on 21st April. The pioneering taxonomy is a government classification system, establishing a list of environmentally friendly activities to boost sustainable investments. In that sense it sets a global benchmark for economic activity. We will examine in-depth the taxonomy and reveal what it means for the biogas sector.

The World Biogas Association invites the industry to come together to watch presentations, discuss questions and network with each other via video-link.

Moderator: Tasneem Mayet, Head of Policy, World Biogas Association

Janek Vähk, Climate, Energy and Air Pollution Programme Coordinator, Zero Waste Europe

Marco Giacomazzi, Policy Officer, European Biogas Association

Isobel Edwards, Investment Analyst Green Bonds at NN Investment Partners
