Dr. Santanu Gupta (BE, MBA, PhD) is a visionary energy leader with 36+ years of experience in Oil refining & marketing, renewable energy, biofuels, nuclear energy, green hydrogen, and waste-to-energy. As Former Executive Director at Indian Oil, he spearheaded India’s energy transition, pioneering national programs like Ethanol Blending, Bio-diesel, SATAT (CBG), SAF and Waste-to-Energy initiatives and overlooked Sustainable Development strategies. While serving as Member Secretary, Energy Transition Advisory Committee (MoP&NG, Govt. of India), he developed decarbonization strategies for transport, aviation, and marine sectors. Carried out pioneering work for converting city waste into Bio methane for Sustainable Cities, while working with Swachch Bharat Mission, Govt. of India. Proven track record in reducing carbon footprints, optimizing supply chains, and spearheading innovative energy solutions for $100 billion Company. Widely travelled across the Globe, he attended important meetings on Bioenergy, Energy transition & Net Zero strategies in USA, Europe, Asia, Africa & LATAM countries.
