Director General, Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE)
Mr Sanjay Ganjoo is the Director General of the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE), an industry voice for green energy companies driven by the mission to promote green, renewable and bioenergy through activities such as policy advocacy, organising seminars, conferences, exhibitions, B2G and B2B meetings, as well as comprehensive awareness programmes.
IFGE is dedicated to creating a sustainable energy ecosystem with a committed group of visionaries and stakeholders from diverse industries, businesses and services – all sharing a similar and complementary vision, and addressing common challenges. The Federation has been working extensively on subjects such as biofuels, waste-to-energy and electric mobility, and has organised numerous national and international conferences on these topics. IFGE engages with stakeholders including various ministries of the Government of India – such as Petroleum, Renewable Energy, Road Transport, Power, Agriculture, Fertilisers and Heavy Industry – and is a member of several technical committees within these ministries. Mr Ganjoo represents the organisation in most of these committees and interactions.
Mr Ganjoo previously worked for 13 years at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the apex business organisation of India. He was associated with many of India’s most prestigious events – from conceptualisation to implementation – including Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Vibrant Gujarat, Aero India, India Chem, India Aviation, India Electricity and Arogya. He also represented India at several major global events.
In 2008, he joined the Bhaskar Foundation (a Dainik Bhaskar initiative) as CEO, where he was responsible for carrying out the CSR activities of the Dainik Bhaskar Group – the largest and most admired media brand in India.
