The World Biogas Association publishes valuable market research and policy reports to demonstrate the global potential of the industry and case studies from around the world to support and facilitate the growth of the industry. WBA also publishes its series of country market reports for its members.

Last year’s key report, “Global Food Waste Management: An Implementation Guide for Cities,” written in partnership with C40 Cities, highlighted the huge benefits the industry can deliver through recycling food waste alone. That report has since been widely quoted (including by the World Bank) and has helped to raise the profile and potential of the industry (including to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization) which is still relatively unknown.

This year we will be publishing our biggest, most influential report to date: “The World Biogas Association – Global Potential of Biogas Report.” This report will describe the bigger picture of the global potential of biogas in terms of energy generation, nutrient circulation and greenhouse gas mitigation. It will give an overview of the current status of the industry and the yet untapped potential for growth. The report has been peer reviewed by an impressive cohort of academic and industry experts from around the world, including the International Energy Agency.

We are inviting you to sponsor this report.

By sponsoring this cutting-edge report, you will have the unique opportunity to get your brand associated with the industry’s most influential report, demonstrating your strength, commitment to the sector and ability to deliver.

We will launch the report at the inaugural World Biogas Summit, which is running alongside the UK AD and World Biogas Expo – our flagship event, this July.

The report will be read by our worldwide network of decision-makers at a time when the potential of biogas is needed to be understood the most. Just this month, the UK and the Republic of Ireland were the first countries in the world to declare a “climate emergency.” Over the next two years countries around the world need to commit to supporting biogas infrastructure across waste, agriculture, sanitation, energy and transport in order to meet their respective nationally determined contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement. Having made their commitments, countries and cities then urgently need WBA’s support to develop the policies that will allow them to deliver on those commitments and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Business leaders, policymakers, NGOs, media and academia – these stakeholders need our report to help pave their way.

This is your chance to support the latest research, align your brand with WBA and ultimately put your organisation on the map as a global leader.
