Côte d’Ivoire and Israel have joined the Global Methane Initiative (GMI), of which WBA is a member.

Côte d’Ivoire will be participating in both the Biogas and Oil & Gas subcommittees. On the Biogas Subcommittee, Côte d’Ivoire will be represented by Dr. Tiangoua Kone and Mr. Kobenan Guilaume Sahode from the Ministry of Salubrity, Environment and Sustainable Development, and Mrs. Amin Dzamla-Gbo from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Côte d’Ivoire’s Oil & Gas Subcommittee delegates are Dr. Eric-Michel Assamoi and Mr. Ange Benjamin Brida from the Ministry of Salubrity, Environment and Sustainable Development, and Mr. Armand Kouhon from PETROCI Holdings.

Israel will be participating in the Oil & Gas Subcommittee and will be represented by Ms. Reut Rabi and Ms. Ronnie Cohen from the Israel Ministry of Environmental Protection’s Air Quality and Climate Change Division.

GMI and WBA are looking forward to learning more about Côte d’Ivoire’s and Israel’s respective work in reducing methane emissions and working with them to further advance methane abatement worldwide.
